of the discounts and credits we can offer you if you qualify.
We will work with you to make sure you are getting all
of the discounts you deserve.
You can save 5% on your entire auto policy by belonging
to an auto club, which we cannot mention due to licensing
requirements. However, you can call or email us for details.
The Safe Driver Insurance Program has changed effective January 1, 2006. With the new system everyone starts out as a zero, no surcharges or credits. The surcharges range up to 45 points. Experienced drivers (those with at least 6 years driving experience) will be charged 15% per point for accidents and moving violations. Inexperienced drivers will be charged 7.5% per point for accidents and moving violations. The point values assigned to at-fault accidents and conviction of moving violations are:
- 5 Points for Major Moving Violation, such as DUI.
- 4 Points for Major Accident causing more than $2,000 of damage.
- 3 points for Minor Accident causing more than $500 of damage.
- 2 points for Minor Moving Violation, such as speeding.
There are two new excellent driver rewards:
- Excellent Driver Plus (99) for drivers with no at-fault accidents or moving violations in the past 6 years. Those with the Excellent Driver Plus factor with receive a discount of 17% for Parts 1,2,4, & 7 on their Massachusetts Personal Auto Policy.
- Excellent Driver Discount (98) for drivers with at-fault accident or moving violations in the past 5 years. Those with the Excellent Driver Discount will receive a discount of 7% for Parts 1,2,4 & 7 on their Massachusetts Personal Auto Policy.
Receive a 25% discount on your entire policy if you are
65 and older. Applies only if there are no inexperienced
drivers and the vehicle is not used for business.
Save anywhere from 5-35% on your comprehensive coverage
(Part 7) for having a qualified antitheft device.
Get a 10% discount on Parts 1,2,4,5 & 7 for the first
3 years after an inexperienced driver has completed an
approved training course.
Save 10% on Parts 1- 8 & 12 if you drive less than
5,000 miles a year. Save 5% if you drive between 5,001
- 7,500 miles a year.
Save 5% on Parts 1,2,4,5,6,7,8, & 9 if there are
2 or more cars insured with same company, there are no
inexperienced drivers, they are not used in business,
and both vehicles must carry collision.
Receive a 25% discount on Parts 2,3,6 & 12 if you
vehicle has an air bag or automatic seatbelts.
Save 10% on Parts 4 & 7 up to a maximum of $75 per
vehicle if you can provide us with evidence of 11 months
of commuter passes and you do not drive your vehicle
to work or school more than 10 days per month. |
